A Legacy of Faith & Learning

Our Journey

SSPP is on a mission to renew Catholic education by returning to its classical roots. Saints Peter and Paul Church in Williamsville, NY, was founded in 1836 when Oziel Smith donated land to build a church for the local Catholic community. Led by Father John Neumann—now Saint John Neumann—this humble mission began with a small congregation and a deep commitment to faith and education. Father Neumann established one of the area’s first Catholic schools, instilling a foundation of academic and spiritual formation that continues today through a classical education model. With its current church building completed in 1865, Saints Peter and Paul stands as a testament to generations of unwavering faith, inspiring students and the community to seek truth, beauty, and goodness through faith, learning, and service.

    Students progress through the stages of the trivium—grammar, logic, and rhetoric. Young students focus on memorization and foundational skills (grammar), middle schoolers learn to analyze and debate ideas (logic), and older students learn to communicate and defend ideas (rhetoric).
