Ss. Peter and Paul School has established a Board of Limited Jurisdiction consisting of members who bring the needed talent, expertise, and experience to address our school’s issues. This Board is foundational to the quality of the Catholic elementary schools in the Diocese of Buffalo. The Board takes a great deal of ownership by dealing with issues and is involved in carrying out its responsibilities (for example, planning, budgeting, decision-making, advancement, and marketing).
Regular Board meetings are held throughout the year.
Meet our Saints Peter and Paul School Board Members:
Chairperson: Lisa Miranda
Lisa and her husband Marcel have two children, Harry (SSPP graduate, Class of 2017) and Olivia. Their family has been part of Ss. Peter & Paul parish since 2009.
Lisa is currently a Senior Product Manager at HSBC where she has worked since 2005. She has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration/Marketing and an MBA, both from the University at Buffalo. She enjoys international travel and has an interest in electric cars.
Lisa’s family is active with SVDP (dropping off baked goods and delivering Easter Flowers/Christmas baskets). SS Peter & Paul school is special to Lisa because it has made a positive impact in her children’s lives; it’s provided them with a strong sense of faith and values that they can carry into adulthood.
Vice Chairperson: Todd Tevens
Secretary: Patricia Herweg
Pat received her Master’s Degree in Literacy from Medaille College, an extension for certification from Canisius College, and BA in Elementary Education from SUNY Fredonia. She acquired her Teaching Certification in K-12 in Literacy, N-2, and K-6 Classroom teacher. Pat has 17 years teaching experience in Holland Central Schools, Tazewell County Schools in Virginia, and the Diocese of Buffalo. She retired from teaching after spending over 2 years as a part-time teacher aide in the pre-school program at Ss. Peter and Paul School at the end of her career. Pat is a former President of the Cleveland Hill PTA, and an active member of the Sigma Phi Gamma International Woman’s Service Sorority. Pat is new to SSPP as a parishioner and applied to be a member of the School Board because she wants to see our beautiful school flourish not just survive. Pat’s husband is a 1965 graduate of Ss. Peter and Paul School.
