Subjects Taught: 4th Grade

Number of Years Teaching/Number at SSPP:  20 years, 15 at SSPP

What do you love most about teaching at SSPP:  “I just love the closeness and “family feel” of our entire school- the faculty and staff, as well as our students and their families.  It sounds cliche, but we really DO all seem like family and we care about each other!

Awards/Accolades: Researched and developed a STREAM class with Mrs. Griffasi, “Kitchen Chem-Edible Science,” which we then taught to teachers and administrators from the Diocese of Buffalo.  We were then invited to teacher to in the Diocese of Cleveland.

Favorite Book: “Bud, Not Buddy” by Christopher Paul Curtis

Favorite Food: My homemade lasagna, using my mother-in-law’s sauce and meatball recipes.

Favorite Movie: Ever since my childhood, “Wizard of Oz”

Favorite Lesson: “I love my 4th graders our social studies curriculum, which is all about NYS.  I especially like teaching them about the construction of the Erie Canal, which is particularity interesting since they’re familiar with it, since it is right in Buffalo and Lockport.”
